Selection, colour and storytelling: much of a timelapse film takes shape after capture.
A good capture is the start of a good edit
A structured archive, accurate timestamps and backups make frame selection easier. Changing light, low-activity days and unwanted gaps are reviewed during preparation.
Deliver for the intended audience
The final film may be prepared for an exhibition screen, a project website or a short social teaser. Agree the duration, aspect ratio, music and delivery format before editing.
